Safety briefing video to be played at the start of coach trips.
Family Outings are a North East based coach trip company specialising in family friendly excursions across the UK, with popular destinations including Flamingo Land, Alton Towers and Blackpool pleasure beach.
Each coach in their fleet has an inbuilt display, used to deliver a quick safety briefing. This includes things like locations of emergency exits, toilet protocol and seat belt policy.
Family Outings asked us to create a new animated video to cover these points at the start of each journey.
Family Outings wanted the video to be fun and light hearted, while making sure to clearly deliver this important safety information. We built the narrative around a central coach driver character, who spends the video talking to the viewers, walking them through the various points.
He is joined by a bunch of passengers, who between them act out some of the scenes as he talks.
We wanted these characters to be friendly looking and gentle in their delivery. The audience is a 50/50 split of adults and children, so the design needed to be accommodating of this.
