Rotherham Council employ around 4,000 staff members, providing essential services to over 260,000 residents in the region. They commissioned us to create a video looking into the ways their staff can get help when they feel the effects of stress or depression.
Over 17 million working days are lost across the UK every year to stress, depression or anxiety. Recognising these issues and their causes as soon as possible is key in limiting their effects and ultimately, beating them.
Rotherham council are keen to lend a hand to their staff members and make sure they don’t feel alone with their struggles, and avoid contributing to these spiralling numbers of lost days.
After a consultation with a team from the council, we came up with a concept for the video, based on an individual working at the council. We called him ‘Jim’. We follow Jim through a typical day, waking up, having breakfast and heading off to work.
We see how this journey can be different if certain changes are made in his working day. This is then followed up with a series of informative slides telling the audience about these measures and resources in greater detail.
